Observation

Goa,2015

I have tasted time and life, walking past the same places countless times before. In a rumble of thunder, I pay attention to mystery that unfolds.

Sabarmati Ashram, Ahmedabad,2015

"Speak no evil, see no evil, hear no evil." How wonderful this world would be if everybody begins to live by these principles and start to take their own responsibility.

Imagica, Pune, 2015
Life is an adventure, stay safe, and keep exploring with faith. Enjoy the ups and downs, highs and lows of this journey. Live in the moment to avoid future regrets. When the journey seems tough, believe in yourself. Trust that God is with you.

Happy realization

Raju, the local quidnunc, who was fond of spreading news and secrets, remembered meeting a tatterdemalion who had cursed him saying,“You’ll receive double the amount of what you give. Your habits shall geminate. If you continue like this, you’ll suffer. Effect of my words shall eternize if you repeat this mistake.”
It was nothing less than a miracle when Raju in his middling tone started seeking forgiveness for all troubles caused because of his hidebound conditioning. People tried to gainsay as they couldn’t trust him. A wise sage asked them to renew their faith by learning a lesson in forgiveness.

It's day 5 of write tribe festival of words #4.
I've tried to weave a story using all the seven words given in the prompt.
For reference

blessings

As words burn in passionate fire, with the soot and a quill, I try to pen my inked perception of elongated shadows in the moonlight. I sleep on the bed of fragrant words.

Goa,2015

Early in the morning, signs of life, breathe afresh, in between the lines emerging naturally amidst the rough patches on the path.

While strolling by the sea, calming fusion of fragrance purifies my breath.

2015,Goa

I feel free and profoundly relaxed as I allow myself to experience the feeling that envelopes me. Sea-salt and tiny shells caress my wet foot.

While noticing the tingling sensation in my ankles, I count the many blessings.
Life is as you see it!

Drizzle

Goa,2015

Today,
the setting sun
is wearing a veil of cloud.
A dove flies
to faraway land.
 I hear sparrows chirping.
 A raindrop rests
on my window pane.

It’s drizzling.

Tiny droplets
 create ripples
 in water,
 and in my heart.
 Dried pale leaves
 float like paper boats.
A moment passes by.

Take it easy

Do we tell our stories fully? Maybe, there are many more stories, left untold.
Stories from I don’t know how many lifetimes, etched on my soul, come up subconsciously, when my conscious mind rests. Sometimes in my dreams, sometimes as nightmares, sometimes while counting stars in the night and sometimes in the voice of others...and then, I talk to myself.
Pune,2015
Life is short. There is no time to judge yourself. Come on! Pick up your pen, take a deep breath. Relax, take it easy. Ah yes, let words dance on the page.

A beautiful reminder outside a mall in Pune.
Happiness is a choice we often forget to make. Let your anxiety and fears come up to the surface. They are staying in your space absolutely rent-free. Let them go. Choose to be happy. Inspire, and stay inspired.

Sacred

As soon as I landed in an unknown city, a lotus pond, surrounded by white pebbles, caught my attention.

Ahmedabad,2015

With their graceful presence, the sacred omens guide us wherever we go. I stayed there for a while, observing it closely.

Ahmedabad, 2015

Be receptive of changes, and stay open to learning. Like the heart of lotus, when our hearts are open and pure, we learn and grow.
Ahmedabad,2015
A lotus bud was in process of unfolding its petals. One by one. Slowly, gracefully.
Ahmedabad,2015
....and there bloomed a lotus flower.

Ahmedabad,2015
Poetic verses sparkled on the lotus leaf.

Holding on to positive vibes, and letting go of darkness, I took a deep breath. Journey continues.

Shelter from the storm

Trying to resist
the winds of change
A part of you
A part of me
struggles..to just be.

..and there we find
shelter from the storm
in nostalgic embrace
of emerald silence
that fills the void
created in the space
between us.

Is it the golden spring
that reflect in eyes,
or a speck of dust
settled on the leaf
blinding the eye
waiting to be washed away?

Look up

There is lot of goodness in this world that we tend to ignore amidst all the negativities that exist. Wake up in the morning, start reading the newspaper, and there you are! Most of the times, trapped in the possible circle of negative emotions.

One negative thought create the ripples and head starts spinning in the whirlpool of emotions as panic, stress and chaos tries to add a little more to the already mishandled situation. One after another thoughts rush in, you try to escape, the more you run, the more they chase.

Sleep seems distant, peace too far away.

But then, in that moment,

Take it easy, surrender, sit back and relax!

Situation can’t be changed but there is always an option to handle it with care, with positivity, with faith that everything is fine.

Finding positivity in the worst situations always helps to lessen the impact of the situation, no matter how worse it is. With that thread of positivity, hold on to hope, and make a way forward. There is nothing to fear.

I remember, my mother said once, “Whenever I get some problem, I thank god for not making it worse.”

I realized, children always learn from their parents. They observe their parents and their methods of dealing with situations, and that leaves an impact on their lives. The way they grow, the way they look at things.

I believe that every problem has a solution. We never get any problem that we can’t handle. Every situation can be handled in the light of love and care. It’s good to stay grateful, for it makes us stronger and gives us the ability to deal with it.

A few days back I read an article written by my daughter on optimism. After reading her thoughts online in her school journal, I was already on cloud nine.

In the evening she went for her lawn tennis class where she fell down while taking a shot and was badly hurt.

“I’m sorry! It happened because of my shot.” Her friend with whom she was playing a match said to her.

“No problem, it was a great shot! Why are you sorry? I couldn’t take it properly and slipped on this cemented ground.” She said with a sporting spirit.

“Please go back home and get some medication!” Her coach and other friends suggested after looking at her broken tooth and bleeding gums.

When she came back home, she had tears in her eyes. She was in pain but tried to control herself and told the whole story as we applied turmeric on her wounds before taking her to the doctor.

“She’s a brave girl! Thank God, nothing much happened. The way she fell down, it could have gotten worse.” Her dad had said.

We rushed to the doctor where she was given some medication.

“She’ll be fine in a few days.” Doctor had said.

"Some work has to be done on her tooth once she recovers."

Next day, while looking in the mirror she winked and asked her dad, “So, what are the plans? Is it going to be gold or a silver tooth?”
We, as parents, couldn't help, but smile.
She told me, “Don’t worry, I’m your daughter and I am strong!”
This time her inner strength was tested.
Though she can’t talk properly, can’t have her meals, and she can’t smile for now, but lighter environment, her will power and optimism is helping her to heal.
Look up to life that awaits you.
