I believe..

                                                                                                                      2013 image,Saharanpur

A thoughtful presence in my mind gleam and glow
I believe in it,but why? I just don’t know.
My world is full of dreams as I walk on air,
Life becomes pleasant with amends and repair.
.....................I believe in the folklore of mistletoe.
It did happen again, not so long ago,
When life had stopped, and I had to let it go,
It was tough to be strong and take loving care,
gleam and glow....
When in distress and there is nowhere to go,
At crossroads,we give up,or go with the flow.
I believe in goodness, and power of prayer,
That  always keep us blessed in HIS loving care.
...............I believe in Lord, and miracles he show.
 gleam and glow....

Blessing in disguise

He :Are you scared of walking with me on this path full of thorns?

 She : Full of roses?

He : What if it’s cactus?

She: Let’s walk. Cactus bears delicate and beautiful flowers.

They faced the dark demons, crossed the hurdles ,and had come too far with more strength and changed perception.

He: Let’s slow down.

 They relaxed.

She :Today everything makes sense. Whatever happened added some value to our life.

He: In anger, frustration, irritation, we sometimes miss on something that is more valuable, the present moment!

She:  Indeed, choosing the path was like a blessing in disguise.

They smiled.

The little "WE"

Down the memory lane,
I see,
The little "WE"
trying to dress up
like grown ups
and imitate them
as they were.

Childhood wrapped
in mom's sarees
and lipstick smudged
all over the face.

Ready to face
an imaginary audience,
The little "WE" stood
with innocent smiles.

On the stage,
stumbling in our dresses,
performing artists
in the summer vacations.

Mostly imitating our teachers,
in absence of blackboard
we wrote on the walls
while teaching
the imaginary students.

We used to be ,as we were
enjoying every moment.
No thoughts of acceptance
or rejection.
It was just about
flowing with the flow.

Storms were related
to the falling of tamarind.
We used to wait
with our bags
beneath the huge tamarind tree
to pick up red ripe tamarind
for chutney.

Parents got annoyed at times
"Don't get angry,
Make them understand
with love."
said our grandfather.
It became the motto for life.

Now it's time
to let our kids live
their childhood,
letting them learn
and making them
understand
with love,
as they create
some memories,
that they would cherish.
FOREVER.

Footprints

                                                                                    2013 image,Goa
Dancing demons in smoked silence,
Waited with baited breath,as time stood still.
Darkness dawned in inked dreamscapes,
As rinsed reflections seeped in the soul.
Rest remains in mute mind.
Forsaken footprints on soaked sand
Impressed its tiny tale of being.

Day 6 # Write Tribe
P.S. Couldn't think of anything else today, for I had lots to say.. so posted these 13 words on Friday the 13th.The prompt for today was People.

Travel light

Mr. Nayak used to repair watches at his home now. During the entire period of his job as a technician of Rolex,he had travelled many places all over the world and had made plenty of money. He had friends from all walks of life.He lived his life joyously sharing his travel stories from that era with everybody he met. Those stories were interestingly adventurous.

At 84,he was so full of life. There was a sad story too about which he didn’t like to talk much. His son was in late thirties, but his mental ability to grasp things was of 14 years old.

"He met with an accident while saving his younger brother when we were in Mumbai. That had affected his brain. We had spent lots of money on his treatment, but..”while talking about it,he always felt uncomfortable.

One evening, he asked his wife to prepare something light for dinner and went to the club with his friends. While playing carom,he felt shortness of breath. His friends made him drink a glass of lemonade but he was restless. He went back home from where he was taken to the hospital where the doctors couldn’t understand his problem.

He was referred to another hospital. On his way,he took his last breath. His body was brought back to his home but he had travelled too far to the other world from where there was no return. He would never come back from the unknown land to share his joys, but his friends still remember his jovial nature and idyllic life.

Tell me..

                                                                                                                   2012 image,Goa

Fizzy dreams and frozen tears!
 it’s the conspiracy
 of irrational frenzied moments.

Like a lilting wave,
When soothing sounds
become noise;
Music calms my mind.

When the flowering breeze play harp,
I listen to the old melodies.

 Tell me,
How it sounds,
When something breaks,
Within?
Does it make noise?
Or does it sound
 like a background score
of a silent movie?

 A string of thoughts
strike a chord within.
Attuned to my heartbeats,
harmoniously,
I close my eyes,
and listen to
the chirping birds
silently.
