“ Mom,I have to carry a book to school tomorrow for our ,`D.E.A.R.’ Can I carry my Geronimo Stilton?”
“Sounds interesting, tell me more.” Her mother asked with curiosity and bookmarked the page of the book that she was reading and kept it aside as she felt a rush of exhilaration in Sara’s voice.
“It’s drop everything and read! Teacher has asked us to bring a book that we would love to read again and those books will be kept in one corner. It will be our library. We’ll be given half an hour for reading, soon after our lunch break, and we can pick up any book from that library and read.”
“Oh,that’s good! Tell me,why only Geronimo Stilton? How about Winnie the pooh?or Nancy Drew? Or The Little Prince?”
“I like them too but I like the illustrations and the colourful word art in Geronimo. There is a story with a moral in every book .Oh yes,the titles are very tempting too. 'THE SECRET OF CACKLEFUR CASTLE'!  If you read it once, you will love it too!” Sara seemed confident and then went out to play with her friends.
Her mother remembered how much she loved to read Nancy Drew when she was of her age, But every book has something to teach. She remembered a quote by A.A. Milne,"The things that make me different are the things that make me.” And she got back to her book ,"The Power of your subconscious mind.”by Dr. Joseph Murphy.

  4. Beautifully written. Books unite generations and it is one thing that no generation gap can undermine.
