season of change # Day 5

                                                                                                                                              2014 image,Gurgaon

 It’s a tedious journey
Towards eternal bliss,
From form to formless while
Dissolving all greys and black

Into a pure white light.

Reminders of renewal
At every step

Mark the season of change.

Engulfed with slight chills
And tides of melancholy
hearts crave for a little warmth.

Death is charming.
Let ego die.

OctPoWriMo #Day 5

Signs

2014 image, Vai, Maharashtra

Scarlet and grey,

hums the betrayed tunes.

Sinned play of life,

clay turns to dust.

Then comes a day,

shadow play cease.

Decayed flowers,

stay in silence.

Travel light

Mr. Nayak used to repair watches at his home now. During the entire period of his job as a technician of Rolex,he had travelled many places all over the world and had made plenty of money. He had friends from all walks of life.He lived his life joyously sharing his travel stories from that era with everybody he met. Those stories were interestingly adventurous.

At 84,he was so full of life. There was a sad story too about which he didn’t like to talk much. His son was in late thirties, but his mental ability to grasp things was of 14 years old.

"He met with an accident while saving his younger brother when we were in Mumbai. That had affected his brain. We had spent lots of money on his treatment, but..”while talking about it,he always felt uncomfortable.

One evening, he asked his wife to prepare something light for dinner and went to the club with his friends. While playing carom,he felt shortness of breath. His friends made him drink a glass of lemonade but he was restless. He went back home from where he was taken to the hospital where the doctors couldn’t understand his problem.

He was referred to another hospital. On his way,he took his last breath. His body was brought back to his home but he had travelled too far to the other world from where there was no return. He would never come back from the unknown land to share his joys, but his friends still remember his jovial nature and idyllic life.

Autumn leaf # Day 29, OctPoWriMo Challenge,2013

As death awaits with baited breath,
live till you are alive,
Never stumble, do not fear,
I shall walk by your side.

Do you remember a single thought,
of what I used to be
With all your love when you come,
bring that thought to me..

Don’t sit here and grieve now,
just have a word with me.
I promised to be there with you,
when you remember silently.

Here lies this body of clay, dead yet so alive, like an autumn leaf.
Clay turned to ashes, traded with the wind, the flowers bloom in wilderness.

Death..

Death..
It's not scary,
It's the story of
A soul evolved and
A journey completed.
Said the smile on the body.
As they say,
“The brightest flame burns quickest”..

Death..
It takes the soul
out of the body,
Just once, but
the wailing resonate in the  ears,
pain flows through the eyes,
and the restless minds,
bear an impression
of life’s uncertainty!

Life! It goes on!
Listen closely..
For there is no tomorrow,
Only regrets shall follow!
 Life you never know
When and how it's going to end!

P.S.
Wrote something for my Brother-in-law who expired last month. He was diagnosed with Leukemia in May..The worst part is that he was 42..It's so difficult to believe that we won't see him ever..and I still can't gather the courage to put his pic with a garland even at my blog for now!

My brother-in-law had fever. Doctors gave medicine for flu but it didn’t come down and some tests were suggested. His platelet count  was very low. Everyone suspected Dengue. Some further tests were done and there was sort of infection in blood. He was admitted in the hospital in Dehradun. Doctor’s suspected Leukemia and his bone marrow test was done. The senior doctor was on leave and some junior doctors suggested that we should take him to Delhi for further treatment.

Blood cancer with a rare blood group A-.
I remember the day when we came to know that he’s suffering with Leukemia.  Somewhere, back of the mind, everyone in the family had thoughts of the painful death of my mother-in-law. Two chemo therapies were done. He was recovering and doctors had permitted him to go back home for ten days.
He was so happy that he was recovering and giving a tough fight to Leukemia. He was getting better and had started working from home. He had to go for his 3rd Chemo, it also went well but unexpectedly,he caught some infections soon after the procedure. He was shifted in ICU, the place I fear the most! He slept in the night but didn’t wake up in the morning. He had a multi-organ-failure.
None of us was prepared. He was just 42.

I saw tears in my husband’s eyes everytime when he spoke about my mother-in-law who lost her battle against Leukemia in 1986 at an early age of 43. There might have been negligence or maybe proper treatments were not available. I didn’t have an answer when my sister-in-law said to me “mummy atleast lived for two years after her diagnosis, but he couldn’t survive for two months with new age technology.”

He was not eating properly for almost 6-7 months and by the time it was diagnosed his 80% cells had been affected with cancer. He had met with an accident a few years back. According to doctors, that injury had affected his bone marrow. No matter what,he wanted to live and we tried our best but none of our efforts could save him. He was continuously giving strength to other chemo patients telling them that there is nothing to fear, cracking jokes with people around.Rest in peace bhaiya! You shall stay in our hearts forever..

Cancer..This disease makes a person mentally and emotionally weak. Loss of appetite, fever should never be ignored.

Recently I heard of Anus cancer. My friend’s mother-in- law is suffering with this dreadful disease. She’s an Alzheimer’s patient too. Prayers for her as she is undergoing the radiation therapy.
