I
have my own set of fears.
Fear
of acceptance, fear of rejection, fear of hurting, fear of haunting, fear of
getting lost, fear of sickness, fear of losing my loved ones.
I fear everything that stops my flow!
fear,
fear, fear!
Fears
engulfed me, and one fine day realization dawned.
Negativity
fades away, and there is nothing to fear.
As I take a step back and look at it, I
understand it better. When our minds are weak, we attract all the negativity
from all the spheres. Like many people, I fear the unknown for some experiences
are not pleasant.
What
I learnt?
Fear
is a shackle of negativity that stops me from moving forward. Thoughts create
ripples. My fearful thoughts are the acts of self- sabotaging. One fear leads
to another.
Initially, there is nothing to fear.
Initially, there is nothing to fear.
So
here’s my prayer..
Today,
be with me, O’ Lord, as I begin again, to make my world of dreams, more
beautiful, more worth it.
Today,
be with me, O’ Lord, as I begin to think of my journey, as I begin again with
nothing on mind.
Today,
be with me, O’ Lord, as I begin to pack my grudges, my fears, and embark on a
journey with a forgiving heart.
Today,
be with me O’ Lord, and help me as I begin to live my life fearlessly.
That's a beautiful prayer Payal. I think I might have to adopt it now!

DeleteThis post is almost a soliloque. Talking to yourself. THis way we get healed and also remove the basic cause of all fears i.e Desire.
ReplyDeleteFor centuries we have been praying to an unknown or Unknowable power and that helps us. It is psychotherapeutic. You used words with great sense of econmy .
Yes! Thanks..:)
Deletewell said, Payal.
ReplyDeleteFear is just a noun, and we can make a choice over it.
I chose a similar path when confronting my fears :)
Indeed Ruchira.."fear is just a noun." Thanks a lot! :)
DeleteLead a fearless life..
ReplyDeleteAmen!
much love. :)
DeleteSo beautiful Payal <3 I love the idea of creating my own prayer around the concept of fear, for we really do reap what we think and believe, and unfortunately, it doesn't just end with us - our thoughts and beliefs impact the very things that we say we are most fearful about (our loved ones etc.). Thanks for the reminder <3
ReplyDeleteThanks Sherri. :)
DeleteA beautiful prayer, Payal, and so true... I am going to share it with my children - even they have so many insecurities. Thank you again!
