Death..

Death..
It's not scary,
It's the story of
A soul evolved and
A journey completed.
Said the smile on the body.
As they say,
“The brightest flame burns quickest”..

Death..
It takes the soul
out of the body,
Just once, but
the wailing resonate in the  ears,
pain flows through the eyes,
and the restless minds,
bear an impression
of life’s uncertainty!

Life! It goes on!
Listen closely..
For there is no tomorrow,
Only regrets shall follow!
 Life you never know
When and how it's going to end!

P.S.
Wrote something for my Brother-in-law who expired last month. He was diagnosed with Leukemia in May..The worst part is that he was 42..It's so difficult to believe that we won't see him ever..and I still can't gather the courage to put his pic with a garland even at my blog for now!

My brother-in-law had fever. Doctors gave medicine for flu but it didn’t come down and some tests were suggested. His platelet count  was very low. Everyone suspected Dengue. Some further tests were done and there was sort of infection in blood. He was admitted in the hospital in Dehradun. Doctor’s suspected Leukemia and his bone marrow test was done. The senior doctor was on leave and some junior doctors suggested that we should take him to Delhi for further treatment.

 Blood cancer with a rare blood group A-.
I remember the day when we came to know that he’s suffering with Leukemia.  Somewhere,back of the mind,everyone in the family had thoughts of the painful death of my mother-in-law. Two chemo therapies were done. He was recovering and doctors had permitted him to go back home for ten days.
He was so happy that he was recovering and giving a tough fight to Leukemia. He was getting better and had started working from home. He had to go for his 3rd Chemo, it also went well but unexpectedly,he caught some infections soon after the procedure. He was shifted in ICU, the place I fear the most! He slept in the night but didn’t wake up in the morning. He had a multi-organ-failure.
None of us was prepared. He was just 42.

I saw tears in my husband’s eyes everytime when he spoke about my mother-in-law who lost her battle against Leukemia in 1986 at an early age of 43. There might have been negligence or maybe proper treatments were not available. I didn’t have an answer when my sister-in-law said to me “mummy atleast lived for two years after her diagnosis, but he couldn’t survive for two months with new age technology.”

  He was not eating properly for almost 6-7 months and by the time it was diagnosed his 80% cells had been affected with cancer.He had met with an accident a few years back. According to doctors, that injury had affected his bone marrow.No matter what,he wanted to live and we tried our best but none of our efforts could save him. He was continuously giving strength to other chemo patients telling them that there is nothing to fear,cracking jokes with people around.Rest in peace bhaiya! You shall stay in our hearts forever..

Cancer..This disease makes a person mentally and emotionally weak. Loss of appetite, fever should never be ignored.

 Recently I heard of Anus cancer. My friend’s mother-in- law is suffering with this dreadful disease. She’s an Alzheimer’s patient too. Prayers for her as she is undergoing the radiation therapy.

....A walk through life

  Mingled  in the air; fragrance of the rose ,
Each petal as it silently unfolds.
Embraced in the heart ;a feeling so close,
Refulgence of sunset ;O’ love behold!

Mellifluous chants of the buzzing bees,
In that instant; spring profusely galore.
Swiftly during dusk ; gentle zephyr tease,
Subtly romanticize, and then ignore.

As the molten melodies in the soul,
Silently settle on the falling leaf.
Dewdrops in the glistening eyes; smudge kohl ,
Surrenders in the moment, with belief.

Caught amidst labyrinth of emotions ;
Rapturous walk, in sync with stirred oceans.

I am..

I am a victim;
I am the judge.
I do have fears,
But hold no grudge!

I am your shadow;
I am your light.
I am a memory;
Of a sheer delight.

 I am an offender;
Who transgress all laws.
I am a servant;
Who outshines the flaws.

I sing the melodies;
I feel the pain.
I listen to you,
Do I sound insane?

I float in sky,
As clouds you see.
I  rain on you;
To set you free.

I am your soul;
I live in you.
I am your dream;
 You make it true!

A soulful talk; in quiet of the morn,
I cried as I did; the day I was born.

Moon..A butterfly cinquain

                                                         2013 image,Goa

Full Moon;
Shimmering light;
A silent spectator.
Blushes;as clouds softly caress,
My muse!
It stumbled ,fell, and rose again
Gloriously shining;
Whispers from far.
This phase!

climate changes -2

Some words,careless;standing on the edge of righteousness and reasons;stumble and fall from the writer's pen,in the lap of an ardent reader..An enigmatic game..an unanswerable quest..They left the scars and wounded the soul..and there I found myself as a lost piece of a jigsaw puzzle that fitted nowhere on the board..

Reborn

A knock,
A door opens.
A child
whom you abandoned,
Due to unknown fears;
Greets you;
Within.

That child
Still waits in hope;
seeks your embrace,
with innocence in its eyes.
Worthy of your love.

Open the doors
And feel yourself..
That child in you!
That child is you!

Look into your self!
There lies a compassionate heart
Beneath the weeds of time.
