On the picture are the lines from my poem that I wrote on Jan 1, 2011.
Beneath the neon lights, the smell of smoke had started to replace the fragrant air. The shackled shelters, decorated like brides, were creating a spell. Loud noise silenced the sound of waves. It was so difficult to hear one’s own voice. Drunken dreams and promises were slipping from the tongues like sands. It seemed like the bottled lives had woke up with a fizz after a hangover. Some tears dissolved in wine glasses. The masked appearances were so confusing. If attended, they started to react differently. If not, they started to treat differently.

By the sea-shore,we stood there as silent spectators holding each other's hands, and singing "auld lang syne". As the fireworks
filled the midnight sky with new aspirations, the sparks brought a twinkle
in the eye, yet again.

2013 was a tough year for me and my family.Some losses are beyond measures. During the adversities I found friends for life. OctPoWriMo 2013 and Write Tribe :Festival of words-2 were the best things that happened to me. Interacting with many inspiring bloggers was a great learning experience.Looking forward to more creativity this year and get back to work too. I've promised my hubby that I'll be in office on Monday. Which Monday,is still a question! Hoping for the best. It's sad that I
missed some birthdays and anniversaries of my dear ones last year. Though I don’t have a great memory, but I’ll
try to remember those important days this year.
