Siya was playing a perfect host to the couple whom she had
given shelter on a cold wintry night as the roads were jammed due to snowfall.
“My son comes home every weekend, but this time he couldn’t come.” She said
with melancholic smile while offering tea to her guests sitting by the fireplace
.
She showed them some old albums. Pointing at a picture, she
said,
“He’s my son who died in a road accident last week. His dad had a stroke and is bedridden.”
She was treating them as a family. They were no more strangers in the night.
