The truth

On my path I wish to stay.

I am just a speck of dust,

Symbols within me float and sway.

Magical moments unfold throughout the day,

Live those moments, I must,

On my path I wish to stay.

I seek, I find, within me answers lay,

Built with unshakeable trust.

Symbols within me float and sway.

Strength I find in prayerful way,

Absolute and infinite fine shining crust,

On my path I wish to stay.

We are indeed made of clay,

With reason and fortitude, I adjust.

True to myself, I shall stay,

With universal guidance, and stardust.

It's Day 14 of OctPoWriMo.

A Villanelle is a nineteen-line poem consisting of a very specific rhyming scheme: aba aba aba aba aba abaa.

The first and the third lines in the first stanza are repeated in alternating order throughout the poem, and appear together in the last couplet (last two lines).
